  1. I work at Foundry Tire part time. I see all those cars up on the lifts, I just keep thinking someday Ill have a Ford Mustang!!

    • I purchase a Roush429R this past July reivceed it from shipping on the 24th of July on the 31st, a guy hit me did a pit mauenve ron the street and spun me out both passenger rims were damaged, and the front bumper. then i got that fixed and two weeks later a womman backed up into my front bumper and left a signifagant scratch on my Roush Bumper!!! I wa sin the process of getting a 5xr through john trishler at ray skillman performance and trading in the 429R. a third accident the Feduke ford dealership parked it onthe a incline facing up the hill. left the tranny in Reverse so when i auto started it it did a attempt to start and normally it wont when in neutral or even 1st because its the strongest gear but the Parking brake was not fully engaged it basically started it cause the remote start bypasses the clutch and it rolled through there dealership and smashed the quarter panel and rear bumper rear passenger tailight but we have to take it apart. Owning a roush was my dream after coming back from 3 tours overseas while a US Marine. I was injured in Iraq and currently on 100% disability. I took all the money I reivceed when the VA back paid me for 14 months of not having any income and took most of that lump sum for my downpayment. A 42K investment down the drain!!!! What kills me is I was never even in the car for two accidents and when i was driving another idiot hit me. I have had the worst luck. I don’t feel safe driving this wonderful car that is my pride and joy. It is all i have to show for 3 combat tours. I hate to complain cause i try to look at eveyday as a blessing but I have had the worst luck and just want to get rid of it before the next accident. I don’t wanna die in a vehicle that give me so much pleasure but so much heartache. Does any one any info or please tell me how to break even on a collector car 61/100 now my resale is gonna blow and honestly I don’t know what to do please someone help a fellow Roush owner. Tell me what to do considering all the shit ive been through in my life I don’t need anymore stress and that what it has become. I was gonna have a 5xr and trade the 429R towards it even have Team JDM in Jersey hook up a package for me. I proud but had the worst luck in 5 months of owning a ROUSH you can imagine. its a 429R with 6887 miles. Adult owned and I think i jus gotta sell it Its’ not for me 35K takes it now that its all fixed up call me my name is nick if interested. Thanks for reading my rants and raves

      • droidnoid is right! I live in switzerland and have oererdd a mustang GT. will be a 2012 model and arrive in may. can’t wait! one reason why I oererdd it is certainly that I always wanted to have an american car with a V8 cause for me these are simply the best sounding engines in the world. but besides, these cars just offer so much value for the money! even though I pay much more here for it then in america, a european car offering the same power would cost me like $ 120’000. go mustang!!

    • I got it from Matco Tools. Mac, Snap-on, OTC, Cornwell, and other tool companies offer sliimar tools. Now there is a new one that is air powered. It uses pneumatic pressure to push against the piston and you rotate a lever to thread the piston in. It works on reverse thread caliper pistons too, where mine would not.

      • HA you do realize Ford’s qlutiay has went to shit. How about you check the LATEST JD Powers initial qlutiay. I believe they dropped from 6th to 23rd if I remember correctly. Check out all the transmission failures Mustang owners are having. Pretty pathetic when the car hasn’t even been out a year yet.

      • Corey, thanks for the shout out! I was relaly surprised at how good the Mustang’s gotten. I’ve owned two Miatas (a ’93 and my current ’06), and the 2011 Mustang is as confidence-inspiring as my Miata. Sink a little money into the Mustang’s suspension (drop the ride height via lower, stiffer springs and add firmer shocks) and I think you’d be able to surprise a whole lot of other cars.

  2. I’m normanly a GMman. but seeing this new mustang. ford knocked it out of the park. great job. I would love to win it.

    • For those of us old enough to rebmeemr Steve McQueen in his acting prime, this beauty does help conjure up some memories of one of the first big screen action adventurers

  3. I have owned Ford vehicles all my life but never a mustang I can only dream of owning one especially a roush I would give anything to be able to own one maybe it’s funny but still dream of having a mustang hopefully I’ll luck-up one day

    • I found your site from a link at Eric the Car Guy. I’ve watched about fifty of these being done on deriffent cars over the past several weeks, and each author presents it a little deriffently. Ain’t Youtube great.Say, I did this on my son’s Jetta last week, and those pistons were tricky to compress. Rotation seems ineffective until something catches and then suddenly it works. The mechanism is funky, and I’ll be interested if other cars have the same issue. Thanks for posting!

  4. they wear a lot less and i can slam the brakes a lot more, but in the long run they arent made for cofrmot, theres noise when braking but ive had them in for almost 5k miles so i really dont know how theyll keep for long term use, but definately worth the money if youre into racing around tracks, not for everyday use though
