Let’s talk some Horsepower!!!!

In this installment of Talking Shop, the folks from Roush Performance are explaining what will power this year’s Sweepstakes Car.  We did challenge them to give us the most horsepower they could, and boy did they deliver!  We think 658 hp from the flywheel is pretty awesome!  We also had some help from our friends at Tremec and Moser to complete the package. The best part, YOU CAN WIN IT!!! • RockyMountainATVMC:@354murraymark If the master cyenidlr has too much air it won’t create enough pressure to pump the oil. If that is the case, you most likely will need to pump the oil through to prime it. You need a syringe or brake bleeding pump to do this (pull the oil from the caliper bleed screw).

      • subron6er:thanks alot, just started woirnkg on my 69 camaro after its been sitting for the past 12 years, its got the origianl drum brakes and right now the peddle will go all the way down and the front drivers side is leaking fluid, One thing at a time and hope to get r done,, thanks Jeff

      • RockyMountainATVMC:@sinaloco925 The Tusk brake bleeder tool has a one way check valve. This penevrts the caliper from drawing air back in. So if you have this tool, you don’t have to close the bleeder each decompresson of the lever.

  1. I think the ROUSH MUSTANG giveaway is a great promotional idea. I would rather win this car then the lottery. Well maybe.

    • RockyMountainATVMC:@38HondaRacer try new fluid. you may have some air in your line. If it still does it, it may be time to upgrade to steel bidraed brake lines. The stock lines wear out and start to flex, making them feel spongy.

  2. I need this car! Any chance Raybestos will come out with the NASCAR brake kit for the public? Tell me how much did it change the stopping distance?

    Great Show!
    Jay

    • The NASCAR race package will not be made avavlale to the public. It is incredibly expensive, there are $30,000 worth of Raybestos brakes on the Mustang. We do have performance brake parts that are avavilble, specicifally our Advanced Technolgy brake pads, and R-300 Performace rotor which follows the design of the NASCAR rotor deisgn. You can view the features and benefits of these products at http://www.raybestos.com

      • RockyMountainATVMC:@tyler53535 You either have a wore out seal in your maetsr cylinder, or you have major air in it. You need a brake bleeder vacuum pump to pull it through. If that doesn’t work, time to rebuild the maetsr cylinder.

    • MyUnderSlungLink:@tyler53535 Same thing happened to my KX125 i bled the bakres and it had soooo much air in it, so i bled it and all this green crap came out, dunno what is was but the bakres still never worked so i rebuilt the master cylinder and caliper, and replaced the hose.
