Prizewinners Enjoy Private Racing Lessons from Richard Petty and Marcos Ambrose

On February 17th, 25 lucky prizewinners and guests attended the Disney World Speedway in Orlando with representatives from Raybestos® brake and chassis – a member of the Affinia family of brands – for a once in a lifetime trackday “experience,” with help from NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty and NASCAR driver Marcos Ambrose.

“When it comes to our racing deal, we’ve got to stay right dead-on with new technology because the guy next door can get ahead, so that’s why it’s nice to work with people like (the company behind) Raybestos,” said Petty.

Each grand prize winner of the 2011 “Reward Fit for a King” Promotion received an unforgettable Richard Petty Driving Experience. Each winner drove one of the new exotic RPDE cars (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Audi R8) for eight laps on the Disney World Speedway “roval.” The Raybestos guests also received private racing instruction from Petty and Ambrose, and finished the experience with a ride-along in authentic NASCAR Sprint Cup cars… experiencing speeds up to 165 mph on the 1-mile tri-oval.

“It was the chance of lifetime – priceless… a real adrenaline-raising experience,” said guest Phil Offerle, of Gateway Tire in Lakeland, Tennesse. “And it was
completely awesome to speak with Richard Petty and Marcos Ambrose – they were so down to earth… real gentlemen.”

Many of the world’s most successful race teams and drivers, including NASCAR’s Richard Petty Motorsports, rely on the stopping power and competitive advantage of Raybestos brakes. “Most people don’t realize – you don’t win races by going fast, you win races by actually slowing down… especially when going road racing,” commented Ambrose. “I’m pleased to play my part in helping develop the Raybestos brake package.” Raybestos brakes have a celebrated heritage in motorsports, including NASCAR®, IndyCar® Series and grassroots racing competition.

Raybestos branded promotions help shop owners increase sales by combining influential branding with attractive rebates and sweepstakes for their customers. • 1aauto:You can replace the lines both rbuebr and steel tubing, you can swap in auto adjusting brakes, if you get all the correct parts you can even swap in disc brakes for drum brakes. We kept this video simple, showing the ways to bleed them. If we do some of the more involved projects like upgrading an what not we will film them.

  1. curmudgeon55:Harbor freight has a one man bledeer kit- basically a plastic bottle with 4 sizes tubing that fits on bledeer tip. I’ve used just plain plastic tubing at caliper and had end higher than master cylinder. Whatever- set tube on caliper bleed screw tip, slow squeeze master cylinder lever so brake fluid comes out and bubbles into tube or cup, release lever and fluid minus air sucks back into caliper. do this a few times keeping master cylinder reservoir cup full. When no more bubbles come out and a little fluid stays in tube, then close bledeer screw..

    • Good clear how-to. Should possibly make more meinotn of using the axle stand.I hope you have insurance for when numpties start following your guides, things go wrong and they try going legal!
